The Beginning of Admin Sidekick…

As strange as it may sound, I really enjoy the administrative aspects of being a business owner. I love managing and growing my team, getting creative and planning, exploring various systems, and reviewing processes. I had been thinking about how to spend more time in this space, and I then decided to offer virtual administration and business consulting services. I am passionate about providing individualised support because I know that every person and every business is unique in its own way.

The Business Owner Journey…

I have always loved working with children, and through exploring a few different roles, I found my passion areas for Augmentative and Alternative Communication and individualised support through a therapy assistant role. After about 18 months in that role, I was bursting with ideas and drive to positively impact the lives of children and their families. So, in 2018 my first business was born, I began what is now known as Be Heard Therapy & Supports first as a solke trader and was booked up with a waitlist within three months. Around the same time I went back to uni and styarted a psychology degree, by the time my was nearing the end I decided to expland my business.

So, after many discussions and collaborations with other professionals to prepare for this next adventure, my business became a company, and the first team member came on board in 2021! Be Heard is now a team of 15, and I have learned so much from each team member who has been a part of Be Heard over the last few years. When I began hring, I wanted my support for my team to be as individualised as the support for our clients, because they all need different support and a different approach to that support to thrive and do their personal best. From this, I found another passion for running and growing businesses, so the next chapter in my journey began....

 

My Why…

I love seeing business owners have more time to spend on the things that light them up and their passions. I love learning about other people's passion areas and doing what I can to turn their ideas into realities. I love organization and administration—honestly, the majority of things in both my personal and business life are colour-coded and organised on spreadsheets!
